G16b bottom end with gti heads has it been done? Is it worth it? Currently running gti engine turbocharged in 92 Sierra |

Yes, it's been done. Is it worth it? I"d normally say no, as the SOHC G16B head outflows the G13B head, but as your manifolds won't match up to the G16B head, maybe it will be worth it for you in saved labour. Consider that the longer stroke will make tuning more important. I'm also consider lowering the rev ceiling. Duty cycle on the injectors is another consideration. Boost threshold will be lowered which can't hurt though. |
