I just wanted to know weather i can drill a new hole in the main leaf to move my front diff forward, or will it weaken the spring to much.

You can do it that way, but you will weaken the spring.

How far forward do you want to move the axle? You can just redrill the spring perch and plate, that could get you up to around 40mm forward.

I was only wanting about 25-35mm but thought I could save time as I have some extra springs laying around. But I will go with the spring perch idea it would be safer. And won't have to worry about breaking springs

cheers

If you only want that much then definitly redrill the perches. It might be more of a pain in the arse to do, but at least it wont leave you stranded somewhere with a broken leaf spring.

Drilling spring steel is fine as long as the drill is sharp.
