Yeah mate. Have done a few now.

I am doing one this weekend too.

Do you have a front cut? or parts?

Or nothing at all?

Vit motors are VERY hard to find at the moment. I pick up a front cut on thursday, but wanted 2..... There are just so few of them coming out of japan nowdays.

Cheers
Peter

Honestly mate you should budget $2k for parts and someone else to do it. Thats on top of your front cut.

Some parts you will need that you won't get with the front cut are:

1.3 sierra clutch, gearbox and flywheel

EFI fuel pump and preferable a surge tank and low pressure fuel pump aswell

New filters and oils etc,

1.3 radiator, or fit the vit one if its in ok cond.

adapter plate from 1.6 block to 1.3 gearbox

Fabrication that will need doing:

Move engine mount brackets, or make new engine mounts

Make or move gearbox mounts

widen tunnel for 1.3 box (may just fit)

new radiator mounts

1.3 bonnet or body lift to clear the motor ( or both depending on how you mount the motor)

new gear stick hole in tunnel

and heaps of other crap that I can't remember off the top of my head.

Do your research first and make sure you can actually get the front cut from this mob at Kunda park first. If they don't already have one I would be sceptical already.

Yeah mate.

The 1litre is an absolute champ, but its just not enough power to do what I ask of the poor little thing.
