Hello all,

I'm trying to get my carry started after having to take the distributor off to replace a gasket. I don't have a manual for my engine, an f10a (1988 Suzuki Super Carry sk410). Now from my research, I think the timing is 8 BDTC but I want to know what people are running.
I also want to know the wiring for the ignition coil, I took it out to test with a voltmeter (The ballast resistor died) and now I'm not exactly sure how it should be wired back in (Should have taken photos) as I can't find the exact diagram for my engine.

Never mind about 8 BTDC, it would probably start +/- 30 BTDC, so something is very wrong. Can’t help with wiring, but do you know you have spark?

Managed to get a spark out of the coil last night but still dead when I turn it over

The above image is taken from a Mini site, but is a typical points style ignition system, with a ballast resistor.

Are you getting spark at the plugs?
