I'm just having a little trouble with the power windows in the Vitara. After pulling out the passanger side window motor, I found that the wire that pulls the window up and down was jammed in the spool preventing the window to go up or down. I pulled the wire out and ready to re-assemble, but here's where I got stuck.

I thought I'd check that the motor isn't stuffed before putting it back together, So I tested it on the driver's side connection and works fine, I recconect it to the passanger side and it strugles to move.

Seems like it isn't getting enough power to operate, but it works just fine.

Any ideas on why this is happeneing?

trace the wire back, probably a dirty connection further in. did you bypass the switch? isolate that and see if that fixes it. also try putting a multimeter on to it, i have one if you need to borrow one

sounds to me like your meck is stuffed!you sure it wasn't damaged when the wire got jammed in the spool?I would be checking the wire ect before you burn out the motor!

I cleaned the plugs and connections while i had it off, So I don't think it's because of that. I've posted emails to a few suzuki wreckers to see how much a new one would be. What a cuntry of a job it is, I'm starting to think it would be easier to replace the whole door.

No not properly mounted. I've managed to prop it up with a bit of wire and cable tie's before it started raining. Might drop it off to the mechanics to sort out...
