Looked up the Tridon locking fuel cap specified for Sierra's here:

Tells me I need a Tridon TFL 207. ( I have a late 1996 Coily)

Which is equivalent to a CPC SL21EC or a Aunger LC01.

So I picked up a Tridon TFL207 from my local Sprints.
Can't make it fit for the want of trying.

Has 2 lugs on each side of the cap, that locate it. They slide into their respective slots ok.
Has 2 catches that hold it on - they are the ones that retract when you turn the key. They don't seem to catch on anything, no mater how hard I push the damn cap on.

Anyone else had this trouble?

just do what mad kenny does and fill it up through the hose thing.

i had the same problem, just had to use a flat screw driver and work the tags inward a bit so it would grip to something.

i bought a cap off ebay for $25 for my 1.0L and it fits great, and locks. a mate of mine has a coily, i can see if it fits his car for you

I just grabbed the box with the part shops fuel caps and went outside till I found one that worked as I had the same issue. I didnt get a locking one though, then again fat chance anyone will get a hose in the two bends from teh add on pipe for my body lift and what not lol...

we go places where we have to carry 6 jerry cans each, bit hard with LPG
plus LPG is nearly the same price as ULP here.

I would have thought coily/older sierra's would be the same... but who knows..

they are the same, i used fuel caps from my 1 litre on the coily and the other way around, ive never had a key to be able to lock one properly though..
