The motor turns, and there is power, but nothing works??? it sort of goes up about 2/8ths then stops and wont go back??? i hot wire it with another battery and it goes from the bottom to the top and a little way back. I'm going for a blue slip tomorrow... would it have anything to do with the little gear on the wiper (not the motor) being out of time? If someone was nice enough could you pull your front windscreen down and take a photo of where the wiper gear sits at the bottom please i would really appreciate it.

I reckon your linkages are poo. Fold the screen forwards and all will be revealed.

how do you tell that? Once i hot wire it all up it goes forwards and back wards fine but i do need to keep changing polarities...

I just went out and checked everything and what was stopping it from doing the full cycle was a motor mount bolt i replaced which was too long so it was catching on the revolver... now still no power...grrr
