Picked up a NGV Saturday with the 2.7, Changed the oil today as the kld was dirty as and replaced with 10w40 shell, Now when I use the throttle I hear a rattle on decel. it does have a bung coil atm but when it was missfiring before the oil change I never heard the rattle.

Cheers

would an oil change make it appear?

It can, depending on the oil & filter you use - the chains have hydraulic tensioners, too thick an oil and you won't get the flow you need (and consequently the pressure) at the tensioner, so it rattles, use a filter without an anti-drain-back valve and the oil drains back when the engine is off, same result.
