How do I tell if I have a 84 or an 88 tooth timing belt without removing the cover?
Thanks,
Andrew

Pre 11/1984 is the 84T and after that is the 88T. Steel dash = 84t. Plastic dash = 88t unless someone has swapped the engine.

As with a lot of Suzuki stuff there's probably some crossover, if it's an early 85 it might pay to drop the timing cover and count. In any case it's an easy job to pop the cover off and have a look.
