2004 SQ420 / J20A SWB / 2.0lt / Auto Trying to sort this out, I don’t have a scan tool that works with it (OB2 plugs in but doesn’t read) Seems to drive OK, if a little surging when accelerating and bogging down when planting your foot. Has irregular idle / slight miss - (see video - https://drive.google.com/file/d/17v3dR-j8chbdX_pX_WKMjBgcMPkKMEY6/view?usp=sharing (Also a few pulley squeaks which I will fix) Engine light has NOT come on (unless I pull an injector lead and make it come on) Has new injectors, coils, coil tubes, plugs. Throttle body has been cleaned. EGR valve pulled out and cleaned New fuel pressure regulator. New idle control valve Full service with oils and filters Ordered a O2 sensor - on it’s way. Yes I know, throwing parts at it is not the solution but I’ve got nothing better to do - keeps me poor and out of the pub |

Check for flat spots on the throttle position sensor |

Has the fuel filter been replaced? What's the fuel pressure like? |

fordem wrote: Has the fuel filter been replaced? What's the fuel pressure like? Thanks - yes, it was bad but the new fuel pressure regulator fixed it and improved the idle - seems good now but I don't have any way of measuring it. Still has the miss though. |

30ONA wrote: Check for flat spots on the throttle position sensor Thanks - I wouldn't have thought the TPS would cause a miss at idle, maybe while accelerating, but will check it. |
