From everything I have been able to look into online, and looking at wreckers for new Jimnys, they are still using the exact same steering box they were using in 98?

If this is the case would I theoretically be able to just bolt it straight into my SJ70 Sierra like normal?

Is this a statement or a question?

As far as I can tell (based on part numbers), the boxes on the new Jimnys, and by that I mean, post 2018, are different to the one in a 98.

Physically they look the same even though the part numbers are different, I suppose the real test would be to see if the bolt pattern is still the same.

The only real steering change in these new (post 2018) Jimnys is the addition of Electronic Power Steering.

Maybe Suzuki just pulled a "If it aint broke dont fix it" and just reused the same setup.

Many (most? all?) 2018 Jimnys will have a power steering box.
The current Jimny uses a manual steering box.

If thats the case then I should be able to bolt a new Jimny steering box straight to my Sj70 right?

It would save having to do a power steering swap all together if a manual Jimny box bolts straight up.
