Hi all
I have found the indicator relay has blown, and it started asking questions, mainly - what should the thing be running.

After asking google the difference between a CF13 and CF14 flasher relay it advised the difference is the position of the 3 terminals with the positive and the negative being on opposite sides being the difference between them.

For a Samurai / Sierra are people using a CF13 or CF14 as if mine is running a CF13 and it should be a CF14 it would tell me why it hasn't lasted that long and is an easy fix.

I am running a mix of bulbs and LED lights so not sure wether to use a LED flasher relay or a standard one as the indicators work with the standard, but the flasher relay was blown when I got the vehicle and it has blown again and they are meant to be good for 200 hrs of use and it probably has had about half an hour, which would indicate it maybe the wrong flasher relay, and me asking the question to see what it should be.

Thanks Andy

An answer to the questions above.
I ordered both kinds of flasher relays from China and it cost me less than one from a store here.

I tried both and it simply didn't work with the LF14 and did with the LF13. However on top of my fuse box up in front of my right foot on the inside fire wall, I found the issue may have been the plastic case holding the flasher unit in place may have been preventing a good contact of the terminals, so it was removed and the flasher did its job.

I researched the different types of flashers and purchased one which is suited to both traditional bulb and LED bulbs. The flasher unit has an adjuster on top, not sure if it is for power supply or flasher timing/ blinker speed.

So far so good, but time will tell.

the tidy up ready for testing is the next mission with sun faded black plastic bumpers, wing mirrors etc getting tidied up and some polishing. I do not want a perfect condition vehicle as you do not 4wd to potential if worried about scratching paint, but do like tidy.

Be good
Andy

I simply searched Aliexpress.com

Once logged in I searched for 3 pin flasher relay.
For one from Repco it was going to cost me $27 nz but got 4 of them for about $25 but had to wait a week on postage, the one I chosen had the adjuster on the far end, but selected it because it is suited to LED and traditional bulbs

I purchased 2 LF13 and 2 LF14's but I removed them from the plastic housing which was stopping the connection and simply cable tied it to the fuse box. mark the 3 wires to ensure the connection is the same on the new flasher rely - I marked them top, L and R.

The difference between the LF 13 and 14's is the wire positions, but if broken out of the plastic housing you could use either keeping the top wire the same and changing the left wire to the right and right to left. I put heat shrink around the wires to ensure no fuses blew or sparks fly.

I tried to copy an image, or a link but it only came up with the Aliexpress website.
There is a lot of Suzuki stuff on the site from complete carbs, to distributors, to door handles and door mirrors

I hope that helps, sorry it wouldn't let me link and the picture turned into a text file

Thanks Andy
