So after 10 years and 90,000klms, the rear drum linings are almost stuffed on the GV. Does anyone know if non genuine linings are readily available for GV's? (99 model) I only inspected them today so I haven't had a chance to suss it out with brake suppliers, thought I had best check here and see if I need to re-mortgage the house before I price them! |

I went to replace mine yesterday. Make sure you take in your old one's as a sample to match up. Long story short, Mine is a '92 Vitara and turns out pre '92 and post 93-> rear shoe's arn't the one I have in there. They seem to be the same size as the GV brakes.. What a headache.. I was charged $40 for Bendix and Brake Bonders, The bendix shoes I had to order, Took 2 hours to recieve them. The price may be different to GV I'm yet to find out. BTW anyone after a set of '92 Vit shoe's? |

definitely go for the bendix, they are a huge improvement over the shoes people used to supply. |
