okay, i'm having problems with my timing belt slowly slipping off when i turn it ova by hand.. what could be causing this??? To take up slack of timing belt, turn crankshaft two rotations clockwise after installing it. After making sure that belt is free from slack, tighten tensioner stud first and then tensioner bolt to each specified torque. Then confirm again that two sets of marks are aligned respectively. Tightening Torque (a): 11 N.m (1.1 kg-m, 8.0 lb-ft) (b): 25 N.m (2.5 kg-m, 18.0 lb-ft) |

Did you change the tensioner bearing? Did you put the little plate back on the crank pulley? |

they tend to slip when your adjusting the tension, push it back on tighten the tensioner up it should be sweet, well i know mine did that aswell i just pushed it back on nice after i did the tensioner |

also there is no need to replace the tensioner bearing unless it has play or is noisy, i repacked mine.. |

ScrawnC the bearing seemed to be alright, yes i did put the little back plate on the crank pulley Saam it seems to happen everytime we push it back on... even after tightening |

one of the pulleys isnt running true, I know one used to do this cause the cam pulley was about 1mm out of square |

looks like it is the right belt, maybe the tension spring needs replacing, i know that when i have done timing belts and they where a bugger as well but i just pushed it back on and put it back together.... although i did move the tensioner slightly more than the spring let it go on the g13bb to make up for possible wear in the spring, not much though. i guess yours is worse |
