my bump stops pretty much don't do anything they are so far away from the diff. anyways i just want to make sure i am protecting my shocks if i do any stupid jumps, which sometimes i do, does anyone know of any generic longer bumpstops designed for hard impacts, i am doing front and rear. also how much longer than the point at which the shocks would bottom out would they need to be to protect the shocks. i just put my new shocks in and won't be going off road until this is sorted. off the top of my head i think the fronts need to be around 100mm or taller |

Might be a bit big (footprint wise) to fit on the front though maybe? Dunno, they might even be spot on.

Can we merge this with the bump stop theory thread, once Joe gives his input? |

my car has nearly 5 inch spring lift i think 4 or 5 meh, anyways i measured the shocks myself and i purposely bought the rancho's i have, they are the correct compressed length for my springs and tires when flexed and bump stops are going to be an insurance so that even in the most extreme circumstances such as washouts at speed i do not cause any damage. My rears are 333 compressed and 508 extended and my fronts are 337 compressed and 524 extended (separate coil and shock setup) |
