any other causes for rear main seals to go pre maturely, i don't think i even did any water crossings with this one in, looks like it is pissing out and it was a suzuki genuine seal 
also i get oil going through the pcv (you can see it sitting in the inlet pipe) causing white smoke on start up, could i have to much positive pressure inside the engine or something ? I'm relating my motors seal hating and start up smoke habits |

My Coily pumps oil through the pcv to the air box. I assume it is because the engine is a heavy breather. rings etc worn, lots of blow buy. My rear main is also leaking, and I also wondered if that is in part due to a little to much pressure in the crank case. |

It could cause it, check the rocker breather isnt blocked at all? |

If you overfill the oil it can cause the crank seals to fail. It would also explain the oil getting up into the pcv valve. But if you've replaced it and filled it to the proper level I would have thought that would rectify the problem. It shouldn't keep doing it. There could also be excessive scoring on the crank shaft but that wouldn't explain the PCV. |

Lip seals can't hold pressure. They can only withstand a maximum of 5psi if your lucky. A pcv valve blockage would easily exceed this. weaves |

if it was pressure related do you think that after i replace the pcv if that changes things that the seal will continue to work when not under this pressure ? or would it need to be replaced |

my front main continues to work after doing the same when i folded the pcv hose in half and it blew that out. there are alot of factors wether it will work or not. The main one being luck. If your lucky enough for it to pull back onto the shaft with no damage to the lip or the spring inside the lip you will be fine. There is nothing to say it will or won't. But being a fresh, directional, silicone seal it has the best chance out of any. Being silicone its soft enough to pop back over, being directional, once that lip catch's it's going to be naturally drawn onto the shaft. Give it a shot, it all depends on how far it blew out. weaves |

yeah hopefully it will work itself out, the crank was in good condition and everything when i put it in. could blow by build up pressure in the right areas to do the same thing ? |

i get good compression numbers, can you still get good compression but have blow by ? |

Yes. What's the condition of the crankshaft around where the seal sits. It may need resleeving |

it seemed fine when the seal was installed, the area was nice and clean the reason it previously leaked was it was rock hard. |

But was the sealing surface scored or worn from the previous seal. If so you may actually reaquire a speedi sleeve. weaves |

yeah thats what i meant it did look nice and flat or else i would have sleeved it already  , speedi sleeves are so cool lol
