When i really flex up the rear my springs jump out,

How can i stop this? i have seen those spring holders but wouldnt they stop flewing? also have seen bigger cups to hold them and long bump stops.

What is the best method?

Cheers

sounds like you have coil springs, i would throw in some spring spacers.

springs spacers wouldn't stop the springs falling out?

Can you clamp the springs at the bottom, so it doesn't matter if the diff drops away and the springs falls away from the top mount, they are still held at the base and return to normal when flexing back. That's the way i have mine set up.

There's a whole debate about clamping at just the base or both base and top.

if the vehicle is flexing and the spring is to short then it falls away, spacers bring the mount point closer to the spring so it should not pop out.

for example the jimny does not have its bump stop inside the spring at the rear so the spacer has to locate the spring on full flex or it will fall out.

are spring spacers legal? is there a difference between coil spacers and spring spacers or are they the same thing?

The coil is the spring, so they are the same.

clamping them is the only way to stop them falling out in all situtions.

i just can't comment on how to clamp them best or if to clamp top only, bottom only or top and bottom.

my mates rangie is only clamped on the bottom and they return and seat really well after full flex. His is held with a small "strap" of metal bolted down to the spring plate.

might be the way tto go, just make up a small strap like bit to bolt in across the bottom. might look at spacers to as i want more lift
