Just noticed my park brake light won't go off lever is fully down and is probably just a wiring connection but just to make sure I'm not damaging it any way to check if it's engaged or not so I can japily ignore that lil light till I get home?

Just pop the bonnet and eyeball the brake fluid level. The light doubles as a low brake fluid level warning. More than likely just a faulty handbrake switch or wiring though.
