Bloody swivel hubs on the SJ80 are leaking.
When will it end? have just spent 2 days welding up the floor, custom fitting new seats, done the combination switch, all engine ignition components, carby, etc, etc.

Whilst underneath it, noticed both sides are dribbling oil.

Better do something about before it ends up on the driveway.
Oil on driveway = angry wife. Angry wife = sad Paul

Ok, so there is a kit available on ebay for $99 + postage.

Or the Suzistore has this one for $138 + postage

http://www.suzistore.com.au/shopexd.asp?id=1183

Looks like the SuziStore one has a few extra gaskets than the ebay one. If the pictures are true to label.

Or the other alternative is I rip it apart, and chase up the individual seals/bearings with a bearing shop like CBC...

Anyone used either the ebay or Suzistore kits? comments?
Good quality branded bearings supplied? or generic Chinese stuff?

Thoughts? Suggestions?

If its dripping oil id say its the axle seal.. I have pulled my hubs apart about 5 times without replacing gaskets..I use silicone..

Pull apart, clean repack/grease bearings. Because they will be full of oil and crap. Replace axle seal. and put back together!

Oh and its one thing after another with mine too..Rear main leaking, axles seal leaking, blown rear diff, blown axle, coolant leaking, ..It feels like its never ending..Or im depressed..

looking at the ebay kit, it actually looks the same as the one i sell. Has decent jap bearings and work well.

Sold heaps of these. And never had a problem with them.

to someone off the street i sell them at $105 + gst.

alternatively you could just get axle seals, felt seals and repack your bearings.

Need to do the same with my Jimny. I imagine it's much the same.
