i hooked a battery up to the LJ the other day, brake lights work, reverse doesnt, cuz someone cuth the earth off and the right indicator works but when you flick it to the left it blinks once and freezes so the lights stay on except for front as it dont work at all. Any idea's why it would freeze? bad earth etc.... Any suggestion would help. Cheers Shelby |

Change the bulb that dosen`t work & try it again. If it`s bugged that is, take the bulb out & put a test light across the pole`s, if it lights up replace the bulb, if it dosen`t put 1 side of test light to earth, if it lights up you have a earth prob. Hope that helps. Steve |

i took the bulb out, it looked fine and checked for continuety and it was ok |

Check for power at the socket. the outer case is the earth, center pole positive. |

The indicators run on the same line as the reverse light, so inspect that circuit. I had an issue with a burnt out reverse gear switch, which caused my indicator circuit to do funny things and eventually blow the fuse, yet hazards worked fine. |

fix the front blinker. depending on what flasher unit you've got, some need a certain amount of current to set the flashing rate. With the front bulb out there isn't enough current to get it to flash. |

i second hutch. i would be looking at your flasher unit. had kinda the same problem a couple weeks ago.mine would flash a couple of times then stay latched on. just replaced the realy and it all work fine after that. |

fixed it!:D bad earth on it and so now it works:D thanks for the help fella's, now i just gotta get the reverse light working, wired it up but still no go lol |
