Still chasing the elusive "Rattle noise" in my Sierra. I downloaded a workshop manual and have been looking at adjusting the tappets...but the clearances that exist on mine seem to be a lot closer than the manual states, or I'm reading the numbers wrong . Inlet cold 0.13mm - 0.17mm (.0051-.0067 inches) Exhaust 0.16mm-0.20 mm (0.0063-0.0079 inches) My feeler gauge is in inches so I'm stuffed if I know what to set them as!!!! I think the inches settings are from the U.S. because I can't relate to them. Can anyone tell me what the setting is in thousands of an inch? e.g. .13 or .16 etc.

Such an easy job!!! I used to do them by feel ( no gauges ) on my corollas.
