Maybe planing for my lwb..

Were they easy to fit?

Car may possible going from leafs to coils/coilovers.

They look piss easy, dont have to chase coil hats, springs, no seperate shocks. Unsure about bumpstops.

What the pricing like? Similar to a coil and shock price per corner?

Also are tey legal? I know i should ring an engineer, but they all seem to be busy atm!

Car may possible going from leafs to coils/coilovers. Yes its possible, but you will need to run control arms like any normal coil setup.

They look piss easy, dont have to chase coil hats, springs, no seperate shocks. Unsure about bumpstops. You will still require an external bump stop. You can use the conventional rubber bump or go for the air bumps.

What the pricing like? Similar to a coil and shock price per corner? Not even close! My 10" fox coilovers ran in at $280US ea. Coils were an additional $160US per corner. Then there was $120US shipping per corner. Thats about $2400 US shipped. Thats about $2900 AUD . I bought when we were trading at 98c to the dollar.

Also are tey legal? I know i should ring an engineer, but they all seem to be busy atm! They will need to be engineered along with your link suspension setup.

We are using FOA 2.5 remote resoviour coil overs for the current tuff truck build (landcruiser, not zook ). Fatzook has pretty got you covered with the info there. You rig will have to be engineered, but they can be passes. We have talked to engineers and they are fine with them. If there is intersted enough for a build that isnt zook, i can start a thread on it.

Coilovers should have adjustable vavling for the dampeners, and you can mix and match your primary and secondary coil rates to give whatever handling traits you want. Ride height fine tuning can be done by adjusting the coil seat height. For what your after, they may be overkill. A good coil/shock/link setup will do what you want for much less $$. But if you are dead keen on coilovers - go for it

Hi guys, its time for me to share abit of what i have done so far for a coilover proejct for my old grandvitara converted to front samurai axle.

I calculated my main and tender rate using the calculator provided at swayaway( pretty elaborate). I have my mech fabricating coilover holders and radius joint.
Just a question here, for those who did dual rate setup for their sierra, whats is your main and tender rate?

Are you saying you'll take the baby and missus hardcore 4wding?

Can you do all the work yourself? it'll still cost heaps if you have to pay someone to do it.
