how do coily rear axles compare to WT? i have what i think is a shortside WT but it seems to be about 15mm too long. The car it came out of had bits and peices from plenty of different zooks and a custom coiled rear. I asumed it was WT because it had handbrake on the rear drums but the splines are bottoming out in the diff centre before the bearing gets into the housing. So if coily axles are about 15mm longer it would explain everything.... |

As per the other thread I think coil is 17.5mm wider. Steve. |

well thats just great I lend friends parts and they replace them with the wrong thing. wt longside turned out to be from a nt.... wt shortside is from a coily! WT axles seem to be getting pretty damn rare these days... Are chromo rears worth buying? |

You can't just chop 15mm off the end with a dropsaw? surely the spline would still be long enough to sit further in? |

The coily axle with the WT bearing was a waste but the other one might be saleable.. Coily and WT bearings are different. |

I was given a pair of Coily bearings and stupid me fitted them without checking first... I can't remember if they are bigger or smaller but they certainly don't fit. |

Coily and WT bearings are different. They are the exactly same as a WT. The ones you had were not coily bearings. |
