Was having a play on a bit of a hill last night just mucking around, and now my car is idling like crap. It still runs smooth and no flat spots but the idle is rear low and all over the place Thinking maybe some crap in the fuel filter or carby? Or idle screw has turned a little (unlikely)

Make sure one of the small hoses under the carb area has not come off. This happens to Casper at times but not going up hills.

if the idle was crap but consistent I would say dirt has got somewhere but like Bruce says it sounds like a vac hose is loose and as whatever its attached to activates it causes an air leak

grab some carb cleaner and spray it round the carby with it idleing, the idle will pick up or stall when you spray near the loose hose normally

another trick is to swap 2 and 3 plug leads, pop the top on the airfilter and give it a few good revs, normally shifts any stuck dirt

Fixed. The idle screw must have turned itself down somehow :S

I'm gunna give the carby a clean tonight too though. Thanks for the help once again guys. My zook is always having lots of little problems

maybe not fixed... It sometimes comes right, then you give it a rev and ya get crappy idle again! I'm just gunna to take it to my mate to fix and give it a decent tune

Does it sound as if its idling on 3 cylinders? Mine does the same thing, and Ive been informed that it is a sticky valve.

We have put some unstickyvalve gunk in, but so far hasnt done much.

Mine does this just take the air cleaner off and give it a rev and put your hand over the carby! Till the engine nearlly stops! Your hand will be covered in crap but your carb will not not have any crap in it!

bah, i was about to make a new post about the same thing here but then found this.

my motor was running fine and smooth on reving and idle a couple weeks ago, but now it's rough when running and doesn't idle.

I guess i'll get some carby cleaner tomorrow
