Hi all,

The suspension in my rig is getting a bit old and tired. What is the chosen brand you guys like to use for springs/shocks and the front struts?? I know this will probably open a can of worms for a lot of discussion/argument but i will take it all on board and choose from the most intelligent answer. I know i'll eventually get one :please:

Cheers

Rusho

if i still had the struts in the front i would be looking into what lengths some of the new coil ifs utes use. there has to be an option with the fact that prados tritons hilux's use the same type of shock in their ifs setup. there may even be something high end with an adjustable coil seat...

I had one of my Ultimas out and was comparing it up to one of the Prado ones i have laying around.

The Prado ones in comparison, are much thicker in diameter and have no chance of fitting inside a stock diameter spring. They also don't have anywhere near the travel that the Ultima shocks do. I would suspect most others aren't much different to the Prado ones.

i have pedders extended front struts and pedders shocks in the rear of my coily with a 2 inch sprring lift. to be honest its pretty decent ride on the road but a bit soft. decent flex out of them off road to pretty impressive.

Are these the raised variety?? And they are definately struts not shocks? Don't mean to question you, but it just seems bloody cheap that's all.

I had Ultima fronts and Monroe CF bedford in the rear. The fronts were fine but the rear was way to stiff. Ultimas all round would be fine.
