Post subject:  I need a small torquey 12v or air motor ungeared

I need to find a motor of a small size with the ability to rotate rather than push/pull (like an air ram) and it needs to complete this task up to 1.47nm (15kgf/cm) at a rough guess. The starting torque would probably need to be pretty high as well i.e. the motor can't "spool up" to reach this torque level, has to be instant/on demand.

Anyone got any ideas? It's for a secret squirrel mod I have in mind.

Something similar to this...Brushless electric motor

I'm guessing local supply might include Jaycar? Anyone know anywhere else I can find one?

if u go to jaycar try part numbers
yg2732 12V, 2.1kg/cm Torque

This compact unit will give a massive 2.1 kg/cm of torque at 70 RPM. Current draw rises to a modest 390 MA.

SPECS:
• Torque: 2.1kg/cm
• Rated Voltage: 12.0V
• Operating: 4.5 - 18V max
• Current - No load: 30mA
• Current - Full load: 390mA
• Gear Ratio: 82:1
• Shaft Speed: 70RPM

yg2734 Only slightly larger than the YG-2732, but with a massive increase in torque at 36RPM. Ideal for driving wheels or other traction devices.

SPECS:
• Torque: 12.0kg/cm
• Rated Voltage: 12.0V
• Operating: 4.5 - 18V max
• Current - No load: 70mA
• Current - Full load: 1380mA
• Gear Ratio: 244:1
• Shaft Speed: 36RPM

yg2738 12V DC Reversible Gearhead Motors - 160RPM

As part of our new mechatronics range, we are proud to introduce 3 combined miniature motor/gearbox sets. The motors work equally well in forward or reverse motion.

For heavy duty applications.
- Massive 50kgs torque at 55RPM

Torque: 50kg/cm @ 55RPM
Rated Voltage: 12.0V
Operating: 6 -12Vmax
Current - No Load: <450mA
Current - Full Load: 14A
Gear Ratio: 50:1
Shaft Speed: 160RPM
Weight: 0.32kg

if u go onto the jaycar website u can see the full specs on them

 not quite a dongling but it will defintely give my 4wd passenger some pleasure hahahahaha....stay tuned for the build....

Thanks DJ, stall torque is ~7 times what I want on that 3rd one you listed...it should do the job even though its geared....wanted to stay away from geared for reliability but this one may have enough fudge factor for it to work ok.

Use an Air drill, or a cheap arse air die grinder. Air motors have no real torque without gearing
