Hey guys, just wondering when do you need to consider adding tail shaft spacers? My current set up in my 89 wt sierra is 40mm springs and ext shackles but I'm considering ditching the rear shackles for standards and then re-drilling the rear mounts for the front to take some rear springs. Mini ruf or whatever. Will this move my front diff forward or return it to stock? Also considering re-drilling the front spring perches to move the diff 25mm forward depending on the results I get from the ruf. What i'm trying to do is bring the car back down a little and get the front end working a little more. Also I'm running a 1.6 with original sump and whilst it looks fine now it might be a little close to the diff when it comes down. Hence wanting to move the diff forward a fraction. I'm not talented enough with the welder (never actually welded!!) to get into extending the chassis which is why I'm taking the easy route! Any input much appreciated. Cheers!

i have spacers on both tailshafts. both of them went on as the diffs have been moved. if you want to see
how much your slip joint moves stick a cable tie on it. this is with the diff moved around 45mm and a 30mm spacer.
