Hi All, I am thinking of doing a power steer into my coil. Has anyone done this conversion?? Was it hard, easy etc. Also, I have taken a few pics of a pulley that I am hoping will be ok for the steer, any thoughts?? Any idea what i should be paying for what i will need?? Thanks in advance Rusho |

I dont really see any major issues fitting Jimny power steer bracket & pump to the side of your G13, only the mounting of the box will be a potential problem- if you have a welder, anything is possible |

Using a jimny p/s box is the easiest way, but also the most expensive at about $7-800 for a full kit. Vitara setup needs fabrication to mount the steering box to chassis. |

locked up 4x4 do a kit for $400 including shipping. Probably the easiest option. You'll still need the steering box, pump, etc http://locktup4x4.com.au/suzuki-89/stee ... n-570.html |

Don't limit yourself to ALL Suzuki stuff.. I fitted a genuine Sierra PS box but couldn't find a pump at the time so I got creative.(Got the box from NZ) I bought a mid 80's Celica PS pump*, lines and reservoir off Ebay for $1.25. I fitted the pump to the engine with a modified Swift AC bracket and ran a V-belt until I upgraded to 1.6. I then fitted a Magna PS pulley to the Celica pump, it did require work to fit but machining only cost $50 at the local engineering shop and was still way cheaper than any wreckers for Vitara/Jimny pump. * Toyota used this same pump on Celica, Cressida, Hilux, Hiace and more so they are a lot more common than Suzuki pumps. |
