Hi all, Went for a drive up the beach today and blew a heater hose(the one from the bottom of the manifold), anyhow overheating, noises that are not suppose to be heard. Got it back to my inlaws, bubbling water in radiator and a nice big fountain of water shot out about a foot high!!!Compression tesed ok between 180 and 200 on all 4 pots. Decided head gasket.. Tore it all off with the father in-law, definate water getting to the oil, milky in rocker cover gasket Anyway, I am going to replace all my hose, thermostat etc etc etc etc, getting head crack tested also. Any thing else I should be looking for or handy assembly tips would be greatly appriciated. Thanks Rusho |

Heads are prone to cracking, as are blocks. Pay close attention when inspecting top of block. Any doubts just post up pics. |

you may as well replace your timing belt and water pump at the same time. |
