Just wondering if a sierra front end out of a 96 coily will fit under a swb vitara, because a friend of mine wants to put a solid front diff into his vit and he can get a 96 model front diff, control arms, coil hats, brand new shocks, and everything else minus a diff centre for $150.

What do people usually use under their vitaras to do a solid axle swap regarding diff widths from the donor vehicle and the rear diff of a vitara ?

Will there be any difference between the front of a sierra and the rear of a vitara ?

the coily front might be a fair bit narrower than the vitara rear housing. The coil mounts might not line up on the chassis.

Look at a bundera front end as well. bit stronger.

Bundera is a good fit. Coil perches line up with Vitara fronts. Coliy diffs are a fair bit narrower than Vitara.

There's a reason the coil front diff is $150. There's no aftermarket support, and they are too weak for a coiler, let alone a heavier car with more power.

Go Bundera front and IFS hilux rear, or 75 series front and rear with a sierra transfer.

Either way this is a complex and expensive job.

to do it right firstly you would need to swap the coil towers from left to right. this way the coils will be inline with the diff, and not hanging off the back. you can use zook gear, just depends on how much work you want to do and how loyal you are to the zook badge.

this has a widened coily diff with jimny axles. plenty wide enough for an early vit. i hated my jimny, i really did, but one thing i could not do was kill the front axles, and i ditched it at abot 150k. you can get chromos from europe now to suit the jimny also. and you can keep you're rear diff the same.

I love that coily front end, I only have two questions.

1. How much is it gonna cost me?

and

2. Where can I get one?
