should be getting my rebuilt 1.6 carb motor back some time next week. so this week and next week i want to get organized to do the conversion. ill be using weld on engine mounts cut from a 1.3 chassis but have been told the jack shaft or intermediate shaft is longer on a maruti 4 speed than on a swb 5 speed but if im welding the new mounts on as long as i use the gearbox mount it should stay at the same lenght right?? or should i use a swb 1.3 wt jack shaft?? i also have a 2" body lift so the sierra 5 speed shoudnt fowl on the trans tunnel or does it still need a massage out ? with a 1.3 bonnet should i be using the 1.6 air cleaner box or will the original 1ltr be big enough to use? i also have the 1.3 cleaner box as well.any help would be greatly appreciated and is there anything ive missed cheers wayne p.s has any one with a 1.6 in a maruti got any engine bay pics cheers |
