Hi just wondering what type of commodore shock people use in the front of the sierras. Length of the shocks compressed and open

Every time the same question is asked there is always some new tech that comes out with it.

If you use the Commo shocks, be sure to extend bumpstops. I'll post up a pic later of what I've done.

How do people get around the smaller bush size on the bottom of the shocks?

Mine had a metal sleeve in it to suit (I think) a 12mm shaft. I just flogged the sleeve out with a hammer and used the standard bush that was left. Bloody tight fit though and it ends up being a bit agricultural IMO.

Is there a better way of doing it?

Mine fitted straight on with no mods What brand did you use Damo?

Thanks for all the replies, I went down to super cheap today and measured up the front shocks and they are approximately 100mm shorter than what I already have so I’m still looking around to find something bigger.

my front shocks are 365mm closed and 630mm open. too short

Mine are Monroe I think.

you must have a shitload of lift as the commodore shocks i have on my 100mm
lifted front work fine.

What shocks did you measure up? You want Commodore REAR shocks, from a solid axle (not IRS) commodore. VN - VR or something like that.

i measured up what those part numbers 81340 . i have hilux front shock towers and want longer shocks i have the longest shock EFS make with a pin eye combination i was just seeing if the commodore shocks was bigger
