ok ive bent my drag link twice now in 3 weeks and before i buy the 3rd one, whats the best way to beef it up? i was thinking of welding an angle along it or can you buy a thicker aftermarket one? or can you use a high steer kit to help keep it out the way? what have you done to stop em bending cheers wayne |

i bent the first one at levuka driving over largeish rocks and the second one i bent at the tea-cup at ormeau but after watch the vids it looked like my passenger side front wheel got hung up in a rut and then it bent from what it looked like |

I got a piece of thick wall tube and slit it lengthways... Then placed one piece either side of rod and welded it back together.. No weld directly on rod. 
Haven't had an issue with it since...

thats a lot neater than what we did on my mates jeep. his bent badly out at ormeau one day and we welded a piece of angle onto it, that was 4 years ago and no problems ever |

Haven't had an issue with it since... That's the way to do it. Mines the same- that's the way to repair it IMHO. Steve. |

How bout get another draglink made with replaceable tie rod ends? The tie rod ends are available. Get some heavy wall tube machined with the correct left and right hand thread and you are done. |
