Id say its not the 6.5s doing this, its your lever.

check your bush under the shifter is ok or replace.
check the stick is not hitting the hole in trans tunnel
check your transfer rubber mounts are still together and the arms are not bent.
its most likely one of the above.
mine will pop out sometimes if I scrub the transfer on a rock or something.

i had a good look at the difference between the 2 zooks i have and the one that is playing up does have a slightly twisted tranny case arm mount so i will swap them over because the white one will be a trail rig so ill most probs end up getting a mighty kong or somehitng so aslong as my DD is alright it will be sweet ill try that see if that helps at all .
cheers brodie

are you using the standard arms brobie?
if you are they are to weak stock for 6.5s.
you need to at least reinforce them

Did you install the gears yourself? I presume you cleaned and re-installed the interlock balls and springs on the shift rails. Or have you done a twin-stick conversion that removes the interlock altogether? Sometimes a bit of crud can get in the springs and prevent the interlock ball from locking the shaft in place. When you shift the lever, does it "snick" into gear firmly, or is it more a case of move the lever to somewhere about the right place?

cheers brodie I meant when you move the lever, does it firmly locate in position, or does it slosh about vaguely? But from what you say, the interlock doesn't seem to be the issue.

its allquite firm to move into any position but i think because the arm is slightly twisted its put the case more towards the frotn of the car and not allowing the lever to travel far enough to lock into 4L thats what im hoping im getting my spare one strenthen upa bit then ill stick it in and see how we go
cheer s brodie
