Went up to Opposite Lock at Springwood and talk to a bloke about springs...

I would like some input/opinion on brands etc.. i can get Iron man springs anywhere from $180 to $230 from them and tough dog springs too, dunno about price but he said the tough dog ones are stiffer?

If use know of somewhere else that can get'em cheaper or anything dont hesitate to mention it :P

looking at gettin the $200 Ironman set but dont want to commit to the buy just yet.

Remembering its going on an LJ :D will have an update on it soon too!

Any info is helpful Cheers Shelby.

I can't remember but I think Ironman have the longest 2" lift rear spring on the market off the shelf...I could be wrong it might be EFS....It's definitely one of them.

Ironman have 1030mm length along the top of the leaf eye to eye with a camber of 155mm in a 4+1 setup

EFS have the same camber 155mm but don't give me lengths.

good luck with it.

A mate got max trax from repco, noticed the front top spring had been inverted & set wrong but had already fitted them, thay said you get what you pay for & offered no replacement
I noticed it as soon as i saw it..

$200 just for 2 springs, front and rear are same price. there is diff models and stuff so the cost is different, he said there was some for $180 but they were like lightweight 1's

i think i paid 79 for front old man emus a side and 90 on the rear from memory.find them to be a good spring in my last 2 zooks.

Had lovells in my first zook, bit stiffer and a heap dearer. Also steknig i had my lovells with the top roll the opposite way like that.think some makes are done like that, but when my mate bought them off me he had a new top leaf made longer and round the other way

Thay do flex well, he looked at another set on the shelf & thay were the rite way round, i said to just turn it over, he disagreed because of the way thay flex now..

I`ve had King`s & were very happy with then, I gave them an absolute flogging & thay came back for more.. Good for the coin I spent on them to.

don't just look at brands, look at the way they are constructed. many of poor riding gear has leaves that are just lopped off, rather than being roll tapered etc.

Some spring manufactures do set there springs the 'wrong' way. Apparently this is men't to relieve the stress on the pack under compression.

original kings were reverse eye like as well, they are supposed to flex heaps better

I like my kings, held up well for simple setup, OME also seem to be popular

jsut remember you get what you pay for and getting it wrong will make you hate driving it
