hey guys, i am in need of some new tires and i need them within a week because mine are illegal. what i was originally going to do was get 30x10.5x15 on the f100 rims. but i just got told my boss has no more work for me so i have to find another electrical apprenticeship meaning i have no money. so i need to stay with option to save money. i want to be able to fit 30x9.5 or 30x10.5 onto the standard rim. is it possible and safe thanks guys |

my mate runs 30 x 9.5 on standard rims, they go fine and he's never had any problems. the only thing is they dont get pushed out as much as if they were on wider rims so you end up wth thiner tires if you get what i mean i dont know how the 30 x 10.5 will go though... |

thanks mate, the standard rim size is 15x 5.5 is that correct |

Thats correct. Why not go to the wreckers and try to find some f100 rims? You really need a 7" rim for 9.5" wide tyres. If fitted to the 5.5" wide rims, the 9.5" wide tyres will bulge in the centre of the tread, giving you less contact area with the ground, and prematurely wearing the centre of the tread. 10.5" tyres would just be dangerous on a 5.5" rim. Perhaps a 225 or 235 would be better for now if you cannot afford the rims you need. JMO Pete |

JMO Pete yeah iv been to the wreckers and found some but i have near to no cash with losing my job so have to keep it cheep. what is a 225 and 235 is that the tires size or width. i have 215s on at the moment dont no what width they are though. |

if you look on the side of the tyre it will say 215 60 15 or some thing similar. the width is 215 mm the 60 is the percentage of the width in profile height and the 15 is the rim height. |

If you were closer I would let you have one of the 3 sets rims i have. They all have just enough tread to pass a slip. |
