hey
i hav a taping noise coming from my engine i am just wonderin what u guy think it could be

could be your tappets. they just need adjusting.

or worst case

could be piston slap

Could be the timing cover, cam belt, alt belt, loose bracket, cat coverter, compression leak, ect ect ect

Could be morse code....no sseriously,write down the taps in order of interval....
You need to sequence the taps so they run at 40 thou over..
Then you have your benchmark...these guys can elaborate.....

Noises are sometimes hard to track down. I would start with adjusting tappets as suggested then go from there
