hey guys just wondering how do i remove the metal bracket behind ya kick panel plastic should i just drill the spot welds out? the reason i want 2 remove this is cause im making up some custom sliders like these |

get a grinder, and just grind them down finely - they are only spot rivet type things. Once you get the bracket ground down far enough, they should just pop off easy. Then sand the heads back. Thats how I did mine anyways and it was really neat and pretty simple, just take your time. |

Use a 1mm grinding disc. easier for fine work |

The spot weld bit works good, but if you are a bit rough like me you might end up with a 10mm hole in your sill |

This is what I used. Quick and easy with no holes left when you're done. I used a thicker disc though, 3-4mm? thick. It was easier to use a big blunt edge than a fine edge. Just go really slowly so you don't end up grinding the sill as well. |

i just drilled them out, when i stuck the cheaker plate on just make sure there sikaflex on the holes |

ive just taken the drivers side off and not even any surface rust i ended up using my dremal with a grinding disk on it worked a treat will little marking underneather so thats 1 down now i got 2 get my ass round 2 getting the other 1 off lmfao |
