| Post subject: | Vit box to sierra G13A |
Hey i know this is backwards to what everyone else does but can a Vit 5speed manual be bolted up to the back of sierra G13A? I've heard of people just drilling holes to get the 1600 to bolt to a sierra box could it work but in reverse? Just a build idea... |

Just a build idea... Would work, but why? If your going to the trouble of the box, 1.6 at the same time.

hehe yes, will be running a crawlered vit case, 1L sierra case, lux 4.8, 35s, and a sierra box.. will run 100kms @3000-3500rpm  not sure if it's revy enough but will be looking for a efi 16v vit motor once on my blacks...
With a sierra gbox it will be pretty much spot on standard with 35s, but with a vit box i don't know how much different it will be... Do you have the specs as I'm trying to find out my gearing... |

4 cyl Vit and Sierra have the same internals in the box (some gears are wider), so the ratios are the same, except for 5th which is swapable between the 2. 1st: 3.652 2nd: 1.947 3rd: 1.423 4th: 1.00 5th: Vit .845, Sierra .795 V6 Vits have the same gearbox as a Hilux G52 Box with slightly lower 1st gear, but the bellhousing doesn't mate to a G13A block as easily, and the 4cyl bellhousing doesn't mate up to the V6 box! |
