i cracked the shits with the crappy non-retracting seat belts in my lwb and i remember someone (weaves i think) saying that they hated the non standard retracting belts that they had as the seat was getting jammed on the retracting bit. i just put W/T belts in and it was a straight bolt up job. standard crap
tossed the old stuff
bolted in the new stuff

pull the belt all the way out & mist (don`t soak) the belt in silicone spray as you let it retract, do both side`s. |

I'm not sure if they're can be used or are any good to anyone here, but I've got a set of commodore seatbelts if anyone wants them. |

But thanks for the info Shep My 1976 XBGT Falcon coupe is fitted with the "High Performance" seat belt option..... NON retracting belts. Look in the owners manual in the glovebox and it recommends non retractors for dirt or spirited driving. |

seems the drover can fit a retractable on the drivers side.. but not the passengers :/ odd... Drivers has the covered cutout, but there is nothing on the passenger side.. What did you do with ya old non retracting belts shep?! Post em down to melb for the cost of the postage!?Will certainly put em to use if they are useable!? Edit: motivation kicked in.....you get pics! Drivers side: Retractable fitment possible...
Passenger side: Retractable fitment NOT possible...

Apparently light passenger vehicles in Vic must have retractable belts after 75. i was chatting with B4T the other day and he recons Sierras get away with them because they go under the title of light commercial. Fools i have some if you want them. |

offroad the non retracting would be handy on steep inclines... nothing worse than when you hop out of the zuk to walk a hill, then the seatbelt jams up and you cant put it on till you're on level ground again! |
