Hi All,

Doing a full oil change on difs, t'fer and box tomorrow. I found a Nulon 85W/140 oil, too heavy or ok? Or should I just go with old faithful castrol VMX80?

I know this has been posted a million times B4, couldn't find it and I wanted to know what you all think of the Nulon oil?

Cheers

Rusho

Vmx80 can`t be used in diff`s, It`s a gear box only oil, 140 is a bit heavy, 80w90 is fine, nulon good.......

i run 3/4 90/140 and a quarter moreys in the diffs
and 50% moreys and 50% 90/40 in the transfer
I wouldn't use either in the gearbox ,they are too heavy
the reason I use the others is for the shock loading particulary in the transfer. And its not an on road car so performance/ economy is not an issue.

but any diff oil around 90w is fine in your gearbox or diff, they are not race cars.
you would be better putting cheap diff oil in and changing it twice as often.
