Go for a drive

Seriously though, have your Transfer in 2WD. Lock both hubs in, crawl underneath and turn your front drive shaft by hand. It may take nearly a full turn for it all to lock in, but once it does, you shouldn't be able to turn the shaft anymore.

If you can keep turning it, then either one or both your hubs aren't working properly.

he mean`s swivel hub`s. put a wheel on , grab top & bottom of said wheel & wobble, ( the wheel, not your ass) If there is no movement & no tight spot`s when going from lock to lock you have done well..

Sorry steknig...did mean locking hub..cheers. While I have your mind ticking about movement in wheels. Bearing, full hub rebuild, positive that everything is tightened up correctly. It has the same movement in it before i did the swivel hub rebuild. Any ideas??

hey mate, does it have a slight wobble when you grab the wheel at the top and push in and out? I might not be grasping the issue of this thread but could be the same as the issue im having. ??? let me know.

Just jacked the front up, I hate trying to explain things! It feels like the wheel is not doing up enough, its the kind of movement you could expect if you undid the nuts a poof-tinth. Fucked if i know anymore. I might take it to someone who cares/knows.

I do both but it`s imposable to fix on a key board, you need to get some one to wobble it while you are under the front & watch the swivel hub & knuckle to see if there is any movement, if there is it the shim`s on the king pin, If movement is there, take the smallest shim out & try again...
