Post subject:  M/C size

Hey guys I need to upgrade the m/c on my zuk to better match the hilux/4runner diffs Im running.
It does very well on 35s in the rego brake test but the rta have said I need to atleast match the original vehicles m/c size.
I know sierra m/c bore is 7/8" and the subaru conversion is 1 1/16" bore but anyone know the size of a hilux m/c bore?
And yes If asked in toyota forums.....yeah no luck there
Thanks Nik

have you enquired to a brake resleeving specialist if you can bore out the sierra master cylnder to the larger size of the hilux's master cylnder.

Look up South coast brake resleeving in the gold coast,
They could problary bore out your one and fit a stainless steel sleeve in it at the needed size

Thats the problem I cant find out what size the lux has, maybe I,ll ring someone like that though?
From what Ive read the subaru m/c is a simple conversion I just have to work out if its big enough for the rta.
Thanks Nik

GQ patrol is also a bolt-on, just did this last w/e. Should easily be big enough for hilux brakes

Do you have any specs on it or a build thread?
Ive just found out early solid axle hiluxs had 7/8" m/c and later solid axle hiluxs with vented discs and bigger calipers had 15/16" m/c.

suby M/C sounds perfect for what you want. better to go bigger just incase and its all set for disc rear.
