ok guys i wanna hear from the people who have supercharged the g16b or people who know what the actual go is with it. I am not concerned about reliability issues as it is a comp car so there is no point saying you will destroy the reliability of your engine. and i also understand that more more power and torque means more stress on drive train componets this is not a problem. so what i want is what fueling and engine managment modifications need to be made? Are bigger injectors requred for 5-8 pound of boost? Is a higher flow fuel pump required? and any other big considerations? cheers fellas |

there is fair wack of info here somewhere that Damo came up with regarding injector sizing and so on I know the replacement intake pump for vits is the same as a WRX so it might be big enough and I think its RX7 injectors fit the manifold no prblems |

Hi matty, I know that you probably didn't mean it that way but reliability is just as important for a comp car, if it breaks or stops you go home and waste a weekend. My thoughts are that a g16b can do without without being put under any extra stress. If you are already bastardising the suzuki with toyota drive train components etc and are considering supercharging why not just go to an engine that is designed to be supercharged. In saying that there is a supercharged sierra running an efi vit engine in north brisbane, he runs fairly low boost figures like what you are talking, it goes pretty well with standard injectors and pump but does have an aftermarket computer so may have been richened up a bit. I will get the tech from him and PM you. |

thanks 2 stroker yeah i didnt mean it as in i want to break stuff regularly it was more aimed at thos who say dont do it because you'll shorten engine life etc. We are attempting to keep drive train mostly zook, maybe cromolly axels and the reason i want to charge the 1.6 is it will have efectivly cost me nothing once i sell the parts off the car it's out of whereas the 4agze will be around the 1200 buck mark. from what i understand these engines are pretty tough little 4 bangers so should stand the abuse. thanks again |
