i have just orded a set of 31/10.5 15 silverstone extreems and need a new set of rims with a bigger off-set.
Just wondering what people have used? i was thinking of a -13 or a
-24????? the rim size that im using is 15x7.

15x8 with -25 offset will put your rims 50mm outside widetrack guards, wheels wont scrub the leafs but will touch the body seams unless you have 4 inches of lift (combination of body and spring). I couldn't tell you what offset you should have with 15x7 rims however i can tell you that 31's look far better on 15x8's

I have 15/7 and 15/8 both are around -24 offset and with my 33s on the 15/8 they only just hit at full lock with the 32s on the 15/7 they only just touch on full right lock. you will be fine with 31s

i'v got the same tyres on some 15x8 rims and they will rub slightly on the leafs at full lock.

just get the -24's.
That way you'll be sure they won't hit the springs.
Better safe than sorry...

And get 15x7's, not 8's.

i got 15x8 rims -80 offset with 32 simex pedes on them, only just hits on body when flexed and turning. bearings are going strong too. 9months old now

IMO -24 with 15x7" is the best choice.

Can someone give a reason behind the 7s instead of 8s.

I have 8s, and have no dramas, air down to 5psi, been up on two wheels often, never torn a tire off, I think they are fine.

7s will have more clamping force, but really, isn't 7s a tad small for 10.5s

nah the -80 offset is a custom jobby cut and flipped about 70$ a rim

when i had 31'x10.5's on 8" rims the sidewalls looked a bit 'stretched'.
On 7's they are more ballooned, and have a bit more clamping force on the rim = less bead slippage/loss, especially when the tyres construction features a fairly stiff sidewall.

I have 12.5" wide tyres on 8" rims, so no, i dont think 7" rims are too narrow for 10.5's at all. I'm sure you could run em on 6" rims if you wanted.

I've found the tyres protect the edge of the rim alot when the rims are narrower too, because the sidewalls will bulge a bit past the rims. (my 8" rims with 31x10.5's had rockrash all over the fresh beadlock rings after the first trip). My chrome 15x8's havent hardly a scratch on them after 5 years use with 12.5" rims, and this includes sideswiping a dumped car at 100k's (accident).
Damaged my previous cars rear quater panel, ripped of the flares, and the tyres stuck out wider than them!

i have 15x8 pro comp wheels with a -50 offset with 31's dont touch at all, mind you im spoa with 2' body. they are imported from the states 100 bucks a rim. looking at spacing them out further when i upgrade tyres

ill be getting the 7" rims.
my sister (Sin) has 15x7 -13 on her zook, so what ill do is steel her rims and fit the tyres to them and see if they hit if not ill get -13, if they do hit ill get -24
also i dont have a body lift, and i have alot of up travel and my 235/75r15 tyres hit on the front of the gard as it is but i can live with a bit of rubbing

if i go to big of an off-set my tyres may hit on the in side of the flare that will proberly cause a bit of damage?????

7's are ample, speedy vit desert rat's, can't remember the off set, but thay do the job nicely..

Just been on the mickey thomson site.

They recommend a 8.5" rim for 33x12.5s as minimum

8.5" to 11", so, wouldn't 9.5 or 10" be the go ???
