G'day all,

first post here. i currently own a landcruiser ute but am looking to grab a little suzi. my budget is around 10 grand (give or take) and after a bit of research i understand that the best mods to start with are the 2' susp and 2' body lift, 1lt transfer case swap, 30/31s, etc. my questions is this; I have a QG18DE engine out of a 2001 pulsar with around 86000kms on it (also have the rest of the car, just been in a front end prang). has anyone put one of these in a coily (or any suzuki) before? how hard would it be to do? if it would be too dificult, im assuming a vit 1.6 would be the way to go?
i also have a workshop to work in, only problem is i am in darwin and pretty much all parts need to be trucked (or flown) up.
thanks in advance,
adrian.

Pm Shep and Ball, our other Darwinites...
If you have the money, get some 6.5 crawler gears for the 1.3 transfer case, they have a lifetime warrantly.

not quite,

I'm 300k's south and shep is a few hundred k's somewhere east of Darwin now.

I wouldn't bother stuffing around putting anything else other than the 1.6 vitara into a sierra. It's been done often and the parts are available to bolt it straight in.

When shep get his internet back it would be worth asking him if he wants to sell his engine and conversion that he has left here in the swb.

I know he also lined up another vitara motor in Darwin that would just need the conversion kit, but he didn't pick it up before he left.
