I have been having trouble selecting some gears on my 08 Jim. Mostly reverse when I am articulating or at least not on a flat surface. This problem seems only slightly worse now that I have added a 50mm body lift kit. What can I do to rectify this? |

Make sure the gearstick isn't hitting the edge of the floor cutout. |

When I first had the problem, it had done about 200km's. AT this point, I had only added the 235's and 50mm King springs from Suzisport. Quote: Make sure the gearstick isn't hitting the edge of the floor cutout.
And yes, I thought this a possibility but as mentioned - happened from new before body lift. |

Have you checked to see if it is hitting though? It could be a busted mount or something. |

Well I did actually check on level ground one day, and all seems to be in order. No undue movement. On flat surface, it is no problem. |

What he said ^^^^^^ Have you checked your engine mounts, transfer mount, all of them? |

Didn't you say you rolled your car the day after you got it? My bet would be the g/box mount or the g/box crossmember is bent. |

is it a good quality body lift kit? sounds to me there is too much movement in relation to the chassis and body. also it may be clearing the hole in the floor, but is the rubber boot putting too much pressure on it also? |

Reubs: yeah good point. Will check that. joeblow: Was happening before the body lift. What rubber boot? I just cannot get it over to the right to get it into 4th or reverse when on any sort of angle, no matter how mild. |

Dude - Pull off the gear stick boot, flex it up and look. Pretty simple. There is a rubber boot on top of the gearbox, under the gear stick boot. I reckon your drivers side engine or gearbox mounts are rooted. |
