Now that I have a 50mm body lift in the Jim, there is of course a gaping hole around the gear stick. I really should think about sealing this up.

An idea I just had is to source some soft/flexible rubber sheeting that will stretch from around the body hole to around the top of the gearbox hole (maybe a zip tie will do this). Then using either screws or rivets and some appropriate silastic, and perhaps a metal surround strap... fasten that bitch down.

Any other possibilities?

You can get universal rubber gear shift boots ... I seen them the other day at my local nut and bolt shop...
