my gti motor dosent have a vac advance?

Is it a mk1? or a mk2/3?
The dizzy vacuum setup varies between models.

"MK2 and "MK3" both have a ecu that controls fuel and ignition , "MK1" is only fuel control , hence the dizzy has a vacuum and mechanical advance.
