just tryng to work a few things out in my head for sure after reading so many posts. car is a 02 GV 4 door.

how much down travel do you need to be safe and stop the struts/shocks from topping out.

going down the spring spacers only route cause i only want to do beach work and have bigger tyres.

at the moment i have 75mm down travel on the front and 60mm on the rear(stock suspension). With 25/50mm spacers(2in lift) it would have 25mm of down travel on the front and 10mm on the rear.

main question is how much more down travel will i need to be safe.
thinking if i need more down travel in the front i can get the strut spacers(2in) from outdoor auto, would the CV's be safe with that much droop. for the rear I can make some shock spacers easy enough but how long do they need to be(Just 2in to match the lift). i worked out vn commodore wagon shocks are 50mm longer.

I have a 2inch lovell's in my Gv, Spring's & shocky's, Love the spring's.

With what you have mentioned above your Cv's will be fine, BUT, the difference of new spring to your old sagged one's is quite surprising, handle's better on & off the road.

The front will still top out, you will never stop that, if it didn't you would pull a Cv every time you went off road, The rear you can get heap's of travel out of with longer shock's but if the spring is not long enough thay will drop out on flex.
